_single_sphere_py

miepython.mie_nojit._single_sphere_py(m, x, n_pole)[source]

Calculate the efficiencies for a sphere when both m and x are scalars.

Parameters:
  • m – the complex index of refraction of the sphere

  • x – the size parameter of the sphere

  • n_pole – a non-zero value returns the contribution by the n_pole multipole

  • e_field – Electric (True) or Magnetic Field otherwise

Returns:

qext – the total extinction efficiency qsca: the scattering efficiency qback: the backscatter efficiency g: the average cosine of the scattering phase function
